America at War? Border Patrol Agents Get into Fire Fight with Mexican Cartels After Thwarting Their Human Trafficking Operation

Just over a week into President Donald Trump’s second term, and the number of illegal border crossings has PLUMMETED, but the powerful organizations who profit off of those crossings have made it clear – they’re not going down without a fight.

When you think of the Mexican cartels, you likely think of massive drug and gun smuggling operations, but under President Joe Biden, human trafficking quickly became their largest source of income.

The House Committee on Homeland Security estimated Mexican cartels have made more than $13 billion off of human smuggling in 2021 ALONE—and that’s considered to be a conservative estimate.

This report stated that “nobody crosses the border without paying the cartels.”

In the years since that 2021 report, the number of humans cartels trafficked across our southern border has only gone up, meaning this income source has grown tremendously for these criminal organizations.

Since Jan. 20, Inauguration Day, the number of border crossings has been cut dramatically. Bill Melugin, a Fox News reporter with years of experience covering the border, reported that daily crossings have dropped to under 600, compared to roughly 1,400 at the end of Joe Biden’s presidency.

As the numbers from the first few days of Trump’s presidency would suggest, the new administration in D.C. poses a serious threat to the cartels, so they’re fighting back in a way which suggests the United States is now LEGITAMATELY, but unofficially, at war with them.

A group of Border Patrol agents in Texas were attacked by cartel members who were caught while trying to smuggle illegals across the border. The agents returned fire and nobody was hit on either side but we can expect many more skirmishes like this in the future.

Beyond simple firefights, the cartels have also been planting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along the roadways where Border Patrol agents frequently patrol.

One flyer in Spanish warns potential border crossers about the explosives, telling them “Don’t touch, don’t move, don’t manipulate,” the bombs meant for Border Patrol.

The United States is certainly no stranger to war, but this particular conflict – albeit incredibly necessary – could prove to be ESEPCIALLY troublesome for the country for two main reasons.

First among those reasons is the fact that this is the first time in modern history that America is fighting a war on American soil and the second reason is that former President Joe Biden spent the last four years flooding the country with enemy insurgents.

The cartel has affiliated gang members scattered throughout the United States which they certainly won’t hesitate to militarize when the time is right.

Thanks to the Democrats who have supported and helped fund these criminal organizations, this is going to be a very bloody and messy war for our country. There is currently no indication that any of the cartels plan to back down just because there is a new sheriff in Washington D.C.
