Rep. Matt Gaetz Asks the Big, Uncomfortable Question About the Trump Assassination Attempt

The parallel congressional investigation into the Trump assassination attempt held a hearing in Butler, PA this week. Witnesses who spoke at the panel included a Secret Service sniper who was on Trump’s detail that day, as well as former Navy SEAL commander Erik Prince and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino.

We were extremely pleased that one Member of Congress finally dared to ask the big, uncomfortable question about the shooting. That question is, “Is the Secret Service an organization of incompetent retards, or did the Secret Service act with malice when it allowed a 20-year-old to shoot the president and three other people?”

Another way of phrasing the question is, was Thomas Matthew Crooks really a “lone wolf,” or did he have help from inside the Biden administration?

We’re all wondering what the answer to that question is, so many Members of Congress must be wondering about it as well. When you think about it, that’s a very dangerous question for a Representative or Senator to ask.

After all, if elements inside the US government were involved in the attempted assassination of a former president and the current leading presidential candidate, they certainly wouldn’t hesitate to give a sitting Member of Congress the “Seth Rich treatment” for asking annoying questions.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was courageous enough to go there and ask that big, uncomfortable question at the hearing. (Although he didn’t use the word “retards” to describe the Secret Service.)

When questioning Dan Bongino at the hearing, Gaetz asked, “The key question here is whether this was your run-of-the-mill government incompetence or whether you see features of such disregard for the duty at hand that you believe that there is some malice?”

Bongino kind of dodged the question, but he did acknowledge that the Secret Service has become politicized and that has likely influenced the agency’s decision-making. Remember, Jill Biden had an event the same day in Pennsylvania in a closed room at a casino with a couple hundred adoring Democrat Party donors. The Secret Service pulled 12 additional agents from its Pittsburgh field office to protect Dr. Jill. They only sent three additional agents to help guard President Trump at a massive rally in an open field surrounded by rooftops and water towers.

They also had a bunch of fat, incompetent DHS employees dress up as Secret Service agents to “guard” President Trump that day. Jill Biden had real Secret Service agents protecting her on July 13th, even though she only spoke to the crowd for about four minutes; Donald Trump had Meal Team Six playing dress-up and allowing someone to shoot him.

Maybe the most advanced protective detail on the planet really was outwitted by a 20-year-old dork with a $40 drone from Walmart. It’s possible. It sure doesn’t feel like it, though.

Crooks was spotted walking around out in the open with a rifle slung over his shoulder at the rally. He was spotted running across the roof to get into a position where he could shoot President Trump. He was spotted with a range finder at a political rally and nobody on Trump’s so-called protective detail thought to walk up to him and say, “Hey dude, what’s up?”

No matter what the answer is to Matt Gaetz’s big, uncomfortable question, it will be terrifying.

If the Secret Service is a bunch of incompetent retards, then President Trump is not safe right now. If a 20-year-old know-nothing was able to outwit the Secret Service, what would happen if a team of Chinese commandos tried to take Trump out? It seems like they’d have even better luck than a 20-year-old civilian.

And we know there are Chinese commandos (and probably Iranians and North Koreans) inside the country because of our wide-open southern border. All those bridges, food processing plants, and trains aren’t wrecking themselves.

If the Secret Service was involved in the assassination attempt, and allowed it to happen with malice, then Trump will never be safe again unless he hires his own private security.

The Secret Service has been caught lying about the shooting repeatedly, but that doesn’t really tell us the answer to the big, uncomfortable question. Are they covering their butts because they’re embarrassed by their incompetence, or are they covering their butts because they tried to murder President Trump?
