Who Do Americans Want in Charge After Seeing a Storm Like Helene?

Severely damaged by hurricane Ian houses in Florida mobile home residential area. Consequences of natural disaster.

As Hurricane Helene slammed into the United States a few days ago, Joe Biden was at the beach and Kamala Harris went to the southern border (for the first time) for a 20-minute photo op wearing a $70,000 Tiffany necklace. She grew up in the middle class just like you.

It’s been more than three days since the hurricane and the media is just now starting to catch on to the incredible devastation that the storm caused in western North Carolina, eastern Tennessee, and parts of Florida and Georgia. President Donald Trump’s first response to this is to try to help. The Democrats and the media are attacking Trump for “denying climate change” and trying to pin the storm on him—while not helping.

One thing that you should keep in mind when looking at the apocalyptic scenes from the Appalachians is that the very first act of the Biden-Harris regime was to activate 700 soldiers from the Tennessee National Guard and ship them over to the Middle East. The second thing they did was send another multi-billion-dollar aid package to Ukraine, as 52 people were being rescued off the roof of a building in Tennessee.

The message couldn’t be clearer. The people running the country right now do not give a crap about this country or the people who live here.

The western third of North Carolina has been destroyed. Nearly every small town was buried under a wall of water as the rains from the hills washed down into the valleys. Towns are still underwater as of this writing. It will take years for the Americans in those counties to recover economically.

It’s been over 72 hours since the storm. As of this writing, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden haven’t said a single word about it. The death toll is up to 106. More than 1,000 Americans are missing and unaccounted for. They haven’t sent any federal help. Kamala Harris is waiting for her consultants to craft the right “message” and then she has to memorize the message so she can repeat it verbatim while answering no questions from the press. It might take a while.

What’s President Trump doing? As I’m typing this, he’s in Georgia. He’s touring the damage in the town of Valdosta, which was wiped out in the storm. They lost three people in the hurricane. President Trump is overseeing the distribution of emergency supplies and drinking water.

It’s like a repeat of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. President Trump and JD Vance immediately showed up to offer help and hope. Joe Biden waited three weeks before sending in Pete Buttigieg in a hard hat for 30 minutes and then forgot all about it. Kamala Harris never even mentioned East Palestine in public. Not even once.

One of the most alarming things to watch so far has been North Carolina’s Democrat Governor, Roy Cooper. 72 hours after the storm, he made some televised announcements. He read everything off a teleprompter. He wasn’t surrounded by any emergency service personnel from the state. The fact that he’s reading remarks off a teleprompter tells us that he’s been ordered to keep quiet so far by the Democrat Party. They’re working on their messaging first, rather than springing into action and doing anything helpful.

It feels like the world is coming unraveled right now. The devastation from the storm is incomprehensible. It’s hard to believe that Kamala Harris could actually stay in charge of the country for another four years. She and Tim Walz couldn’t team up to change a tire. How is she going to lead the country through a crisis of this magnitude?

They’re seriously blathering about “climate change” right now instead of helping the many thousands of families who just lost everything. Their homes are gone. Their businesses are gone. Their lives have been completely wiped out, and Kamala Harris’s team is blaming Trump for the storm because he doesn’t believe their BS weather religion.

One candidate for president is offering real leadership during a time of crisis. He’s helping the people in these devastated communities. The other is hobnobbing with her donors in San Francisco and whining about fake problems like global warming. The choice couldn’t be clearer. The botched federal response to this crisis needs to be pinned squarely on Kamala Harris’s shoulders.
