The UN's Top Climate Committee Just Admitted Their Doomsday Projections Were Wrong — After We Spent Trillions on Them

The United Nations' lead climate committee has publicly admitted that its flagship climate projection model — RCP8.5, the one they used to justify every green boondoggle of the last 15 years — was wrong. Not "slightly off." Not "needs recalibrating." Wrong. And President Trump is dancing on the grave.

So let me get this straight. They called us "deniers." They tried to ban our gas stoves. They killed pipelines, shuttered coal plants, poured billions into windmills that freeze in winter — and the whole thing was built on math that didn't add up? Incredible.

Trump took to Truth Social on Saturday to deliver the eulogy we've all been waiting for. "GOOD RIDDANCE! After 15 years of Dumocrats promising that 'Climate Change' is going to destroy the Planet, the UN TOP Climate Committee just admitted that its own projections (RCP8.5) were WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!" he wrote. Three "wrongs" for emphasis. The man knows how to stick the landing.

He wasn't done, either. "For far too long Climate Activism has been used by Dumocrats to scare Americans, push horrible Energy Polices, and fund BILLIONS into their bogus research programs," Trump added. He's not wrong — and now even the UN agrees with him, whether they meant to or not.

Let's talk about the money, because that's what this was always about. The Green Climate Fund — set up after the 2009 Copenhagen agreement — was designed to shuffle $100 billion annually from rich countries to developing ones, all in the name of fighting a crisis the UN now admits it overcooked. Joe Biden pledged $1 billion to that fund in April 2023, then came back in December 2023 and committed another $3 billion. Your money. Gone. Based on projections they now say were wrong.

Trump, to his eternal credit, pulled us out of the whole circus. In January 2026, the administration withdrew from 66 climate-related organizations and treaties, including the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change. The left had a collective nervous breakdown. Gustavo Petro, the president of Colombia, whined that "Mr. Trump is against humanity." Chile's Gabriel Boric declared at the United Nations General Assembly that Trump saying the climate crisis doesn't exist is "a lie."

Well, gentlemen, your own committee just proved him right.

This is the Green New Deal — or as Trump correctly calls it, the "GREEN NEW SCAM" — exposed for what it always was. A wealth transfer dressed up in polar bear costumes. A way to make you feel guilty for driving a pickup truck while the people lecturing you fly private jets to COP30.

They spent 15 years telling us the science was settled. Turns out the only thing that was settled was their grant funding. The models were wrong, the projections were wrong, and every policy built on top of them was a house of cards. But sure, tell me more about how my hamburger is killing the planet.

As reported by Breitbart, this admission lands at the worst possible time for the climate establishment. Trump already pulled the plug. The money spigot is off. And now their own data says the emergency they manufactured to justify all of it was based on garbage math.

We were right. They were wrong. And they finally said it out loud.
